October 16, 2009 08.54 Europe/London By Robert Briel

smll_smarcam3The Dutch cable operator Caiway has become the second in the country to introduce CI Plus on its network. It has started to sell to sell stand-alone CI Plus modules from its shops and selected retailers for €49.00.

Ziggo, the country’s largest provider, was the first to introduce CI Plus. With CI Plus, subscribers can use their regular TV set if it has a built-in DVB-C tuner and supports a CI Plus CAM.

The operator has published a list of certified CI Plus receivers, which includes models from Samsung, LG and Sony.
