Mipcom 2009 – Cannes. AFDESI has announced the winners of the seventh edition of the only international interactive competition, the International ITV Awards 2009 during this year’s Mipcom.
The International ITV Awards were open to all companies (operators, broadcasters, developers, publishers) who were involved in a live interactive television service during the year 2008/09 (up to June 2009) or in the production of a concept. The competition has grown to incorporate all new formats of television interactivity, through remote control, fixed and mobile phone.
This year’s winners are:

Design and graphics OpenTV Core nX from OpenTV (USA)
Guide and TV Portal Snowflake from NDS (UK)
Innovation and Technology ZOOND from Fair Play Interactive (France)
Mobile Interactive Applications GONGapp from GONG (France)
News and Information Eredivisie Live from UPC (The Netherlands)
On Demand Video Futur from Netgem (France)
Special “Interactive Games” Awards Playin TV from Visiware (France)
A special price was awarded in the category ‘new entrants‘ Dish Active from Dish India (India)
And the International ITV Awards – Grand Prix was awarded to Hyperpanel for its contribution to HbbTV implementation (France)
