During a special dealers day, the Dutch DTH platform Canal Digitaal Satelliet announced it will start to carry the Slovak based pre-school channel Bebe TV.
The channel will become available to HD subscribers of the operator from the moddle of this month. Canal Digitaal also said it is negotiating with RTL and SBS about possible carriage of their HD channels. RTL is set to lauch this month, while SBS has yet to set a date.
At the moment, Canal Digitaal only carries one national Dutch HD channel, Nederland 3 HD.
On cable, all three national Dutch public channels (Nederland 1, 2 and 3) are available in HD, but very few programmes broadcast are in native HD. Both UPC and Ziggo, as well as smaller operators, are expected to start carrying the RTL HD simulcasts of all three channels, RTL4, RTL5, RTL7 and RTL8.
