Hungary will shortly see the launch of what will be its fourth IPTV service.
According to VG, it will be operated by Interware Internet Szolgáltató and offer viewers over 80 channels, five of which will be in HD, along with an online movie rental service, with titles costing less that HUF500 (€1.85) each to rent.
The service will employ Magyar Telekom’s infrastructure and be offered as part of a double play package for HUF5,000 a month and triple play offer starting from HUF5,700 a month.
IPTV has been slow to take off in Hungary in terms of subscriber numbers. The three other services are operated by Magyar Telekom, Invitel and GTS-Datanet.
