NBC Universal Intl. Television Distribution has signed a multi-year licensing deal with Viasat Broadcasting.
It means a range of films, TV series and made for TV movies will be seen on Viasat’s free-to-air channels in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Highlights include Michael Mann’s Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, as well as Judd Apatow’s Funny People.
TV series include the new medical drama Mercy, seen through the eyes of the nursing staff at Mercy Hospital and Trauma, an action series centred on responder paramedics.
The content will run on TV3, TV6, TV8, ZTV in Sweden, TV3, TV3+, TV3 Puls in Denmark and TV3 and Viasat4 in Norway.
