This Friday, September 25, Deutsche Telekom’s T-Entertain IPTV service will stop distributing channels from Sky Deutschland. As previously reported in Broadband TV News, Sky has cancelled its contract with the telco.
Relations between the two platforms became strained when Deutsche Telekom decided to offer its own distinct coverage of the German football League (Bundesliga). Rather than take the Sky production, the telco opted for Constantin Medien.
T-Entertain will now offer its customers special Bundesliga and movie packages to replace the Sky channels. Viewers can opt for Entertain Big TV, which offers 30 channels for €13 a month – with the first six months free of charge for new subscribers. Live German football is offered in the Liga total package, also costing €13 a month.
