Budgetary cuts could spell huge problems for public service broadcasting in Latvia as soon as next year.
According to Dienas Bizness, state aid to Latvian Television (LTV) and its radio counterpart could be halved from this year’s LVL13.5 million (€19.3 million) to LVL6.79 million.
One possible outcome of the cuts could be the suspension of LTV’s second channel, LTV7.
