Following complaints from the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France, the media authority CSA has sent a notice to the satellite operator Eutelsat about the broadcasts of the Egyptian Al Rahma channel.
The Council has complained about the violent and anti-Semitic nature of some of the broadcaster’s programmes. Al Rahma is broadcast on one of the Eutelsat satellites.
The CSA has now sent a notice to Eutelsat that indeed the channels breaks the French law prohibiting incitement to hatred and violence for reasons of race, sex, morality, religion or nationality.
