FoxLife launches in Benelux

FoxLife has today (September 7) started broadcasting in The Netherlands and Belgium, said the Digital Media Centre (DMC), a provider of channel playout services, TV distribution and content delivery in Amsterdam.

Fox will deliver all channel content electronically over the internet using Signiant. Foxlife will be simulcast in SD and HD and be fully localised by means of subtitles and Dutch audio.  The channel will be delivered over fibre to a variety of platforms, including Ziggo and UPC Nederland, in The Netherlands and Telenet in Belgium.

Foxlife targets a predominantly female audience and broadcasts international television series, in various genres. lt is part of Fox International Channels and owned by News Corporation.

Lukas Kernell, general manager thematic channels, Chellomedia Benelux, said in a statement: “We are proud to be working with Fox, one of the highest rated broadcast networks in the world.  Foxlife is a strong brand and we are very excited about delivering the channel to the Dutch and Belgian markets.”

Raymond van der Vliet at Fox Life, said: “The DMC offers unrivalled expertise in channel playout services and we are delighted to be working with them for the launch of Foxlife into these two new European territories as we continue to extend the reach of the channel on a global scale.”
