Macedonia’s new DTT platform On.Net has picked up the Viaccess conditional access system to provide it with content security.Telekom Slovenije-owned On Net has plans for 50 TV channels, 50 radio services and datacasting on a four-transponder system that will broadcast across Macedonia.
“It is our goal to become the leader in the pay-TV market in Macedonia, and as such, On.Net needs to be the pioneer in adopting the latest technology that is shaping the future of our industry,” said Predrag Cemerikic, CEO, On.Net. “The deployment of such technology contributes to On.Net’s long-term strategy, and Viaccess‘ conditional access systems perfectly meet our requirements and objectives.”
On.Net is aiming for 200,000 subscribers by the end of 2010.
