The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska ended Q2 with 86,900 digital cable subscribers, or almost 40,000 more than 12 months earlier. It also had a further 6,000 receiving its IPTV service.
The operator’s TV, broadband and voice subscriber totals stood at 679,000, 302,600 and 206,700 subscribers respectively as of the end of June.
Cable TV services accounted for exactly half of its revenues in the first half of this year, with the internet (24.7%) and voice (22.6%) claiming most of the remainder. ARPU meanwhile stood at PLN62.4 (€15.18) per customer.
The transition from single to triple play also continued, with 79,000 subscribers receiving the latter at the end of Q2.
Multimedia Polska’s revenues in Q2 amounted to PLN129,167,000, or 11% more than in the same period in 2008. Its net income rose by 25% year-on-year in Q2 to PLN13,652,000.
