Hungary ended July with 828,000 cable internet subscriptions, according to data produced by the country’s National Communications Council (NHH).
This amounted to 86,000 more than at the start of the year and 150,000 more than in July 2008.
The 11 largest cable operators, headed by UPC, T-Kábel and FiberNet, accounted for between 80-90% of the total.
The total number of ADSL subscriptions at the end of this July meanwhile stood at 804,000, only 9% more than at the start of the year and 22,000 more than in July 2008.
