IFA 2009 – BERLIN. SES-Astra will show highlights of the consumer electronics show IFA, taking place in Berlin from September 4 – 9.
Broadcasting free-to-air on the Astra HD demo channel from the 19.2 degrees East position, the satellite operator will show a daily magazine programme with highlights of the fair. Programming will be in conjunction with the trade association gfu, the organisers of the IFA.
Ferdinand Kayser, President and CEO of SES Astra, will present an International Keynote at IFA. Under the topic of “Shaping new markets, driving innovation, developing HDTV”, Kayser will explain how the company drives growth along the value chain and how the company boosts new developments in television reception. The keynote will take place on September 7, 2009 at 9:45 am in hall 7.1a.
The SES Astra dHD demo channel has been on the air since 2004. During IFA, the German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF will also broadcast a number of FTA HD channels.
