The Polish incumbent telco Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) has added VOD to the services offered by its DTH platform.
Initially consisting of several hundred titles, the number should rise to over 1,000 by the end of the year.
TP began to offer VOD to its IPTV subscribers at the end of 2006, and they now have access to over 2,000 titles.
Although both DTH and IPTV subscribers are being charged a similar amount per title – between PLN1 and PLN12 (€0.25 -2.95) – a selected number of titles will be provided free of charge from the beginning of September until the end of November.
