In-store Broadcasting Network (IBN), a US-based In-store narrowcasting network, has purchased 4.5% of the Spanish Prisa media group as part of a joint venture. Both companies said they want to develop a business in the distribution of digital media in shops, warehouses and supermarkets in Spain and Latin America.
IBN has acquired the shares via its Talos Partners subsidiary. Prisa has been looking for financial partners for its media businesses including the Digital+ platform and its national commercial TV channel Cuatro.
