Pace is to integrate the Rovi Connected Platform Solution into set-top boxes deployed in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
“The Rovi Connected Platform is a comprehensive solution that enables us to easily integrate with the latest interoperability standards that help to enable access to premium, recorded and personal content from a variety of locations and devices,” explained Bruce Gureck, VP of product development, Pace.
The announcement expands on an existing relationship between Rovi and Pace. In 2007 the then Macrovision collaborated as part of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). Pace added DLNA capability to its set-top and server products, integrating the Rovi media player and media server softare to demonstrate access to digital content from anywhere in the room.
