The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska plans to become a quad player by the end of this year, adding mobile telephony to its offer.
The news was given by its president, Andrzej Rogowski, in a wide-ranging interview with Wirtualne Media.
Rogowski also said that Multimedia Polska’s VOD service had now broken even and added that the company could still undertake some acquisitions later this year.
Furthermore, he said that Multimedia Polska is likely to add a number of cable homes – put at it the “teens of thousands” – to its total in Warsaw this month and in September.
Both it and Vectra are recent entrants into the capital, where they now compete with the much more established UPC and Aster.
