The transition to digital broadcasting is officially under way in Latvia, according to Lattelecom, the operator of the country’s new DTT platform.
The TeliaSonera-backed incumbent telco says that digital TV services can now be received within a 70km radius of the capital, Riga, with viewers being offered a choice of up to 30 channels in three packages.
Lattelecom also operates Latvia’s only IPTV service.
