MTG’s Viasat has extended its exclusive live broadcasting rights to the UEFA Champions League in the Baltic Republics until the end of the 2011/12 season.
At the same time, it has also extended non-exclusive rights for Bulgaria and Finland, again for the same period. Viasat has been broadcasting the Champions League since 2002, and matches from the competition will be shown on its TV 6 channel and the pay service Viasat Sport Baltic across the region.
In a separate development, Viasat has acquired live FTA broadcasting rights to the English Premier League for Viasat1 in Ghana.
