Fastweb grew its customer base by 93,000 in the first half of 2009 to reach 1,575,300 at the end of June.
The company no longer reports the precise number of its ADSL customers that take the Italian IPTV service, but the offer continues to expand.
From August 22 FastwebTV will add channels from the Mediaset Premium service, giving its customers two of the packages at the same price paid by DTT customers. The first package, Premium Bouquet, features movies and TV series including movie channels Premium Cinema and Studio Universal and for children Cartoon Network and Hiro. The second pack, Premium Calcio, includes live football from Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma, Napoli and Lazio, the Champions League and the Europa League, the former Uefa Cup.
Fastweb recorded consolidated revenues of €918.8 million, an increase of 13%, and a six-month consolidated net profit of €17.9m.
