The CME-owned Czech thematic channel Nova Sport has secured the rights to the UEFA Champions League and the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
In the former case, they are for both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, include the internet and are for the period 2009-2012.
TV Nova will show its first ever Champions League game on August 18, and the first of 64 live broadcasts from the KHL for the 2009/10 season on August 11.
Significantly, 60% of all Nova Sports output is to be shown in Full HD.
