The Polish incumbent telco Netia has confirmed it will launch an IPTV service with the DTH platform n this autumn.
In results issued by Netia, the telco says that the two parties are currently finalising plans for the service, which will be offered as a standalone TV product or as part of a double or triple play package.
The IPTV platform is currently being trailed in Warsaw and the Silesian city of Wroclaw.
Netia had 458,000 broadband internet subscribers as of the end of Q2, of whom 176,769 received their service through XDSL and FastEthernet on its own network.
The telco posted a net loss of PLN5 million (€1.22 million) in Q2, as opposed to a net loss of PLN6.4 million in the first quarter.
