SIA (Skynet iMotion Activities) has been rebuked by the CSA after the Belgacom-owned provider failed to submit details of programmes broadcast in the French language.
In its annual monitoring of the commercial television sector, the regulator for Belgium’s French-speaking community said SIA had also failed to notify it of the amount of original European works broadcast or the transmission of music from Wallonia.
The regulator said that SIA had met all of its other obligations concerning the production of audiovisual works, protection of minors, distribution of programmes in French and transparency.
The CSA took decided that given the low number of qualifying programmes on the dedicated sports channel it was not justified to apply quotas in 2008.
