Romania’s Competition Council (CC) is to investigate the acquisition of MediaPro Pictures by CME.
According to Media Expres, the deal, which was announced last week, has far not been reported to the Council.
MediaPro Pictures is the largest producer of local fiction in CEE and supplier of fiction to CME, MediaPro Studios and MediaPro Distribution.
It is part of MediaPro Entertainment, which CME agred to acquire in a complex deal understood to be worth some €68.6 million.
