The Polish incumbent telco Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) ended Q2 with 239,000 TV customers, or 4.4 times as many as 12 months earlier.
Its DTH service, launched in late 2008, secured 100,000 subscribers in the first half of this year.
TP, which also operates an IPTV service, had 2.564 million broadband customers as of the end of June, or 10.1% more than 12 months earlier.
Yet despite growth in broadband revenues, its overall revenues for the first six months of this year were, at PLN8.497 billion (€2.036 billion), 6.1% down on the corresponding period in 2008.
EBITDA was meanwhile down 19.5% year-on-year.
