Russian Media Ventures (RMV) has acquired a 50% stake in Vesti-24, a station based in the city of Novosibirsk, for around $1-2 million (€0.7 -1.4 million).
According to Kommersant, RMV is owned by the shareholders of Video International, the largest ad sales house in Russia, and Vesti-24 has become its first TV asset.
It is expected to sell Vesti-24, which reaches all of Novosibirsk’s 1.3 million population, once the global economic crisis is over.
