Portugal’s Zon has submitted a complaint to the Office of Civil self Advertising (ICAP) about a service offered by Portugal Telecom (PT).
According to DN, it relates to Meo Fibra, which claims to provide subscribers with over 120 channels and internet access at a guaranteed speed of 100 Mbps for €49.90 a month.
Zon says this claim is a “blatant falsehood” as PT admits that it is not possible to guarantee such internet access. There is also, says Zon, a discrepancy over the actual number of channels offered and the actual fee of the service is €82.40 a month, or 65% more than advertised.
Last week PT lodged a complaint to ICAP about a service offered by Zon.
