Robert E Fowler has left the management of Tele Columbus GmbH, the second high profile departure from the company in less than a week.
Fowler played an influential role in building Tele Columbus, and partner Primacom, into Germany’s third largest cable operation.
In recent weeks there has been increasing concern over the €1.8 billion debt of parent Orion Cable. Quoted at the resignation of CEO Markus Schmid last Thursday Fowler said the company remained in a solid position “to meet the challenges of the changing financial markets”.
A former CEO of the Tele Columbus Group, Fowler stepped down from day to day management in May 2008.
