Kevin MacLellan, the president of Comcast International Media Group, has said that the company is seeking an international partner to develop a new pay-TV model.
Speaking to the Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore, he added that it is looking at several countries, from Brazil to Germany, with Italy being an interesting market.
According to MacLellan, pay-TV has so far not been a success in Italy, a fact that is confirmed by the difficulties Mediaset has faced in breaking even.
Collaboration with Italian partners, according to MacLellan, could be in the form of an entry in the shareholding structure or an agreement for the production of content.
