Eurosport HD will be the seventh high definition channel when the new Sky Deutschland DTH platform launches on July 4.
Eurosport HD is already available in a number of European countries, but the agreement with Sky is a first for the German speaking market.
The first event to be broadcast by Eurosport in native HD will be the live coverage of the 2009 Tour de France starting on July 4.
Previously, Sky Deutschland announced the first six of its HD channels at launch: Sky Sport HD, Sky Cinema HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD, History HD and Disney Cinemagic HD.
