The Dutch cable operator Cogas has signed an agreement with Ziggo to deliver triple play to its customers. The operator will continue to sell basic analogue television itself.
Ziggo will take over the marketing and sales of the additional triple play services, including the full digital TV offer, broadband access and telephony. Cogas will continue to invoice the basic analogue cable services with monthly energy bilsl.
Cogas Kabel is owned by a regional energy company and is an operator active in the eastern part of The Netherlands, serving 75,114 subscribers out of 86,383 homes passed, with basic analogue cable (penetration rate of 87%).
The company said that 37% of its subscribers take digital television, 44% broadband internet access and around 10% telephony services.
