Digital Cable Systems (DCS), Romania’s third largest cable operator, has secured an additional 10,000 subscribers to its internet offer since the beginning of this year.
According to ZF, it now has over 200,000 subscribers to its TV and internet services, adding that the company, which operates under the brand name Akta, does not give a breakdown for each individual segment.
RCS/RDS is the market leader in the internet sector and gained an additional 200,000 customers in the 12 months to May 2009.
Romtelecom, the second largest provider, has meanwhile secured over 50,000 new internet subscribers since the beginning of this year and UPC nearly 13,000. RCS/RDS currently has 950,000 internet subscribers, followed by Romtelecom with 701,000 and UPC with 250,000.
