The Russian cable operator ER-Telecom has seen its broadband internet subscriber total grow by 17% so far this year to reach 700,000.
At present, some 1,000 homes are signing up to the service every day, thanks in no small part to new rates in Moscow at the beginning of this month.
ER-Telecom is owned by the Perm Financial Industrial Group (95%) and management (5%).
It had 900,000 cable TV subscribers throughout Russia as of the end of last year.
