Euronews has extended its reach in North America with a deal to distribute a daily half-hour Spanish language news programme.
Euronews in Spanish is broadcast everyday on the US channel HITN-TV (Hispanic Information and Telecommunication Network), which is available on both US satellite platforms Dish Network and DirecTV.
Recently, Euronews also added distribution in Latin America.
In Brazil. the service is now offered in Portuguese by the cable operators STV Comunicação, RCA Cabo Frio, TV a Cabo SP and Multimidia TV a Cabo in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
In Chile, Euronews is available in Spanish in the capital Santiago via the fibre network GTD.
Euronews is now received in a total of 163,000 households in eight countries – Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, Brazil and Chile – in Latin America.
