Slovak IPTV starts to discount

June 11, 2009 07.25 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Slovak Telecom’s T-Com has introduced a number of discounts for customers receiving its IPTV service Magio TV.

They will allow them to save up to €100 if they commit to a triple play package for two years.

Magio TV was launched in 2007 and offers three main, six thematic and three premium (HBO and Cinemax) programme packages.

It also includes a VOD service with over 500 titles.

Magio TV had 42,000 subscribers at the end of March, or 7,000 more than three months earlier.

Slovak Telecom’s DSL subscriber total meanwhile stood at 356,000, representing a year-on-year growth of almost 25%.
