The French terrestrial pay-TV platform TNtop will introduce a second generation set-top box offering additional services over broadband internet access.
The operator plans to introduce the new set-top before the end of the year, incorporating a PVR and additional services including an EPG, a catch-up TV service and subscription-VOD.
The company is also looking to acquire terrestrial capacity for the overnight downloading of programmes on the hard drive.
TNtop, which is owned by UK based Top Up TV, offers a low-pay bouquet of digital terrestrial channels and acts as a reseller for the terrestrial versions of the TPS Star and Canal+channels.
