E! renews across Europe, adds Style to Croatia and Iceland

June 9, 2009 17.18 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Comcast International Media Group has signed a slate of long-term renewals for the E! International Network and announced new channel launches in Croatia and Iceland.

In Germany, Kabel Deutschland has renewed its deal to carry E! within its digital basic package, known as Kabel Digital Home.

In France, E! France will continue to be available within Numericable’s digital “Premium,” “Premium Plus” and “Infinity” packages. The deal has also been extended to take in Numericable’s operations in Belgium and Luxembourg. A new deal has also been reach with IPTV operator Free, bringing the distribution of E! France to 4.5 million subscribers, when Canal Sat, SFR, Free and Numericable subs are combined.

In the Netherlands, Ziggo has renewed E!, as well as offering a suite of E! programming on its recently launched VOD platform.

New channel deals for both E! International Network and The Style Network  have been signed with Hrvatski Telecom’s Iskon cablenet. The two channels are already available on Hrvatski Telecom’s IPTV platform, also branded Iskon.

Finally, longtime E! International Network affiliate 365 Media in Iceland will launch The Style Network as part of its basic TV package beginning this month.
