Digital cable is finally starting to take off in Central and East Europe (CEE), with UPC alone likely to have up to one million subscribers in the region by the end of the year.
What is more, the Liberty Global owned company will probably have a near total digital cable operation in one of its main markets, the Czech Republic, within a matter of months.
These are two of the main findings of a new report just published by Broadband TV News. Entitled Digital Cable in Central and East Europe, it looks closely at the cable industries of the 14 largest markets in the region, providing detailed overviews of key players, where they currently stand in the digitalisation process and their plans for the future.
