The Czech digital channels Z1 and Ocko are likely to remain on the DTT multiplex operated by the Czech Digital Group (CDG) for the next three years.
According to HN, the two channels are expected to negotiate extensions on their current contracts within a matter of days.
The CDG charges between CZK35-37 million (€1.3-1.4 million) excluding VAT a year for a slot on its multiplex, though this is expected to rise to between CZK63-68 million in 2011.
The operator is in dispute with another channel – TV7 – over the size of its fees. Z1 is a news-based service and made its debut a year ago today (June 1, 2008).
