ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. NDS has announced that the German cable operator Kabel BW has selected NDS’s MediaHighway middleware, XTV DVR technology and an NDS VOD solution.
Kabel BW wants to extend the capabilities of its service offering and technology infrastructure. With MediaHighway, it will be enabled to manage its entire STB population and introduce new entertainment services, including HD PVR and VOD, powered by NDS’s XTV PVR technology and an NDS VOD solution.
In 2007, Kabel BW became the first German cable operator to select and deploy market-leading VideoGuard content protection technology. Kabel BW offers triple play services to more than 2.3 million subscribers, serving nearly half of all homes in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
