ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. Mixed Signals’ Sentry Content Monitoring Solution should ensure cable subscribers a maximized ‘quality of experience’.
New to Mixed Signals’ product is a Perceptual Scoring System. This analysis allows operators to determine the errors that impact the user experience and require immediate attention to preserve subscriber satisfaction.
According to the vendor, “the Perceptual Scoring System takes into account human visual and auditory responses to gauge a subscriber’s frustration level over video and audio impairments”.
The system detects, tracks and reports, in real-time, on a variety of subscriber impacting events including video tiling, frozen video and loss of audio simultaneously in hundreds of HD and SD programmes in either the MPEG-2 or MPEG-4/H.264 video formats.
“As competition grows between European cable, satellite and IPTV service providers, a top priority is to not only win but also to retain subscribers”, says Mixed Signals’ CEO Eric Conley.
He adds: “Sentry, along with our new Perceptual Scoring System and Executive Reporting Package, enables these service providers to deliver an exceptional quality of experience to their subscribers, which in return increases customer satisfaction while also reducing operating expenses”.
