A 2% subscriber increase took Israeli satcaster Yes to record revenues of NIS 384 million (€68.55m) in the first quarter.
The company recorded an operating profit of NIS 60 million compared to a NIS 27 million in Q1 2008. EBITDA of NIS 122 million was up 33.9% year-on-year. The net loss declined to NIS 1 million from NIS 66 million in the corresponding period.
As of March 31, 2009, Yes had 560,000 subscribers, although customers to the YESmax on demand service and HD content increased, ARPU decreased by 1.3% and churn is on the rise.
