Spanish public broadcaster RTVE is to commence tests in the high definition format over the country’s DTT system.
The tests, scheduled to begin in February or March next year, come ahead of the national analogue switch-off.
Initially the tests will revolve around sports programming, including the ATP tennis tour and the Champions League, before being extended to cover news and drama.
