Orange has reopened the commercialisation of Orange Sport after the Paris Appeal Court overturned the February 23 ruling made by the Tribunal of Commerce.
The Appeal Court said Orange was within its rights to exclusively bundle the channel as part of a triple play package.
In a statement, Orange declared itself to be fully satisfied with the decision, saying the commercialisation of Orange Sport would recommence this evening (Friday) for online customers and from Saturday in its retail stores. Orange had removed Orange Sport from its packages from March 24.
Rival telcos SFR and Iliad, which brought the original case, said they had not yet decided whether they would challenge the Appeal Court ruling.
As of March 31, Orange had 363,000 subscribers to its TV offers, including 112,000 to Orange Sport.
