VimpelCom ended 2008 with FTTB networks in 40 Russian cities, while its residential broadband subscriber total, including FTTB and 3G, stood at 1.2 million.
The company, which operates under the brand name Beeline and includes Russia’s second largest mobile network among its interests, had revenues of $2.157 billion (€1.580 billion) in Q4 2008, up 26.7% on a year earlier.
However, it also posted a net loss of $445 million, as opposed to a net income of $364 million in Q4 2008.
Earlier this week it was announced that VimpelCom has launched a new IPTV service in Moscow known as Beeline TV.
