ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. The Dutch systems integrator Divitel will show its ‘iDTV over Cable’ solution at this year’s ANGA Cable show.
“‘iDTV over Cable’ offers interactive services via the already existing cable (CATV) network,” according to the company.
“Interactive services such as VOD, trick play, time shift TV, catch up TV, nPVR and all kinds of other competitive edge applications are no longer reserved just for large cable companies with huge budgets, or IPTV systems from telcos. There is more profit to be met from the existing network, without significant des-investments on (headend and network) equipment.”
“With this solution, and the cooperation with our well established German business partner WISI, Divitel has found the right position to establish itself further on the German market”, said Mr. Hans Kornmann, CEO Divitel, in a statement.
Divitel presents itself together with WISI Communications.
