Romania’s cable industry is heading for a period of consolidation amongst its small and medium-sized players.
Quoted in Media Expres, Dinu Malacopol, the general manager of Digital Cable Systems (DCS), the country’s third largest cable operator, said that small and medium sized cable and internet companies are likely to start selling shares from Q2 this year due to the financial crisis.
DCS lists AIG New Europe Fund ll as its main shareholder and also operates AKTA, one of Romania’s five DTH platforms.
