Sky has announced two new marketing appointments that reflect the growing importance of the Sky brand itself.
David Murdin joins Sky in the newly created post of director, sports & marketing, supporting both Sky Sports and Sky News, and reporting into Andy Brent, Sky’s group director of brand marketing. He joins Sky from British Airways where he was Global Head of Brand, Product and Service.
Corin Dimopoulos, whose current role spans both Sky Sports and Sky News, has been promoted to director of cycling, a brand new role, created solely to direct and support Sky’s ongoing commitment to British Cycling.
Dimopoulos will be responsible for co-ordinating Sky’s support of cycling from grass roots to elite level. Sky will enter a team into the 2010 Tour de France with the intention of developing a British winner to the prestigious competition.
