Romania’s RCS/RDS has been awarded a licence to operate four satellite TV channels.
Media Expres reports that the services, known as Digi Sport, will be launched next month or by mid-June at the latest.
They will be offered in the company’s basic analogue and digital cable packages, as well as on the DTH platform Digi TV, and include live coverage of Bundesliga and La Liga.
The start up costs of the channels will be €1.4 million, with a further €1.8 million and €1.5 million being invested in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
