The German cablenets TeleColumbus and Primacom have both added 14 channels to their basic digital line-ups.
The expansion of the basic tier has been made possible by the additional number of channels now carried on the Eutelsat Kabelkiosk headend-in-the-sky service.
The digital offer of the two cablers, both owned by the Orion Cable Group, totals 73 channels, of which are 29 public broadcasters and 44 private stations.
The operator has said there is now also capacity available for new services, including HD channels and VOD.
